This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies CurePDF uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site remember information about your visit — like keeping you signed in, remembering a preference, or recognizing repeat visits. Some tools described below use similar browser storage (such as localStorage) rather than a cookie in the strict technical sense; we treat them the same way for consent purposes.

2. Necessary Cookies

These are required for CurePDF to function and cannot be switched off in our preference panel. They include:

• Django's session cookie, used to keep you signed in and maintain your session
• A CSRF-protection cookie, required for secure form submissions
• Login-security cookies used to detect and block brute-force login attempts
• curepdf_cookie_consent — stores the cookie preferences you choose below
• A local (non-cookie) light/dark theme preference, stored in your browser

None of these are used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

3. Analytics Cookies

With your consent, we may use analytics services to understand how visitors use CurePDF, so we can improve our tools. CurePDF's analytics integrations are Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity — configured centrally and, depending on which are active at any given time, may set cookies such as those from Google (_ga, _gid, and similar) or Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk, and similar). These scripts do not run until you accept Analytics cookies, and stop running if you later withdraw consent.

4. Advertising Cookies

CurePDF does not currently run any advertising or ad-measurement technology, so no advertising cookies are set today. Our consent system supports this category so that, if we introduce advertising (for example, Google AdSense) in the future, it will only activate once you have granted Advertising consent — this policy and the preference panel will be updated at that time to name the specific service.

5. Marketing Cookies

CurePDF does not currently run any marketing, retargeting, or behavioral-tracking technology (for example, Meta Pixel), so no marketing cookies are set today. As with Advertising above, our consent system supports this category for future use, gated on your consent, and this policy will be updated if that changes.

6. Third-Party Technologies

The only third-party services capable of setting cookies on CurePDF today are Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity — each optional, each off until you consent, and each configured with real identifiers only when actually in use. We do not control the specific cookies these third parties set; see their own privacy documentation for details.

7. How You Can Change Your Preferences

You can accept all optional cookies, reject them, or choose individually per category at any time. Look for the Cookie Settings link in the site footer to reopen the preference panel and change your choice. Changes take effect immediately in your browser.

8. Managing Cookies Through Your Browser

In addition to the controls above, most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their own settings. Doing so may affect necessary functionality — for example, blocking the session cookie will sign you out. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions specific to it.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes — for example, if we introduce a new analytics, advertising, or marketing integration. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision, and our consent records a version number so we know when to ask you again after a material change.
