Terms of Service

Última actualización octubre 1, 2026

Welcome to CurePDF ("CurePDF", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CurePDF website, applications, online tools, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

If you are using CurePDF on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

1. Description of the Service

CurePDF provides online tools and services for working with PDF files, images, and other supported documents. Depending on the features available from time to time, the Service may allow you to:

  • Merge, split, compress, convert, edit, or organize PDF files
  • Convert files between supported document formats
  • Protect or unlock supported PDF files
  • Perform OCR and other document-processing operations
  • Convert images or documents
  • Use browser-based tools that process files locally
  • Use server-based tools that temporarily process uploaded files
  • Access developer tools or APIs where made available
  • Create an optional user account for supported features

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Some features may have file-size limits, processing limits, rate limits, account requirements, or other restrictions.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By using the Service, you confirm that:

  1. You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms under applicable law; and
  2. Your use of the Service complies with these Terms and applicable laws and regulations.

If you are below the age at which you can legally agree to these Terms in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law. CurePDF does not intentionally request or collect personal information from children where doing so would violate applicable law.

3. User Accounts

Some CurePDF features may require or allow you to create an account. When creating or using an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and reasonably current information
  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Use a strong password
  • Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised
  • Not share your account credentials in a manner that creates unauthorized access
  • Not use another person's account without authorization

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account, except where the activity resulted from circumstances for which you are not legally responsible. We may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, or our systems, or where we reasonably believe the account has violated these Terms or applicable law.

4. Your Files and Content

"User Content" means files, documents, images, text, data, or other material that you upload, submit, transmit, or otherwise provide to CurePDF.

You retain your ownership rights in your User Content. CurePDF does not claim ownership of your uploaded files merely because you use our Service to process them.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have all rights, permissions, licenses, consents, and legal authority necessary to upload and process User Content through CurePDF. You must not upload or process content if doing so would:

  • Violate applicable law
  • Infringe another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights
  • Breach a contractual obligation
  • Violate a court order or other legal restriction; or
  • Require permissions that you do not possess

5. Permission to Process Your Files

When you upload or submit User Content to a CurePDF tool, you grant CurePDF a limited, non-exclusive, temporary, worldwide, royalty-free permission to access, transmit, store where technically necessary, process, convert, modify, and return that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service you requested.

This permission:

  • Is limited to providing, maintaining, securing, and improving the requested Service where permitted by applicable law
  • Does not transfer ownership of your files to CurePDF
  • Does not give CurePDF the right to sell your uploaded files
  • Does not authorize CurePDF to use your uploaded files for unrelated advertising purposes; and
  • Ends when the processing and any legally required retention period have ended, except where continued retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement of these Terms

Where a tool processes files entirely within your browser or device, your files may not be transmitted to CurePDF's servers. Different tools may use different processing methods. Our Privacy Policy provides additional information about how personal information and uploaded files are handled.

6. File Retention and Deletion

CurePDF is designed to minimize the retention of uploaded files. For server-side processing, files may be temporarily stored or held in memory as technically necessary to provide the requested operation. Unless otherwise stated for a particular feature, files may be automatically deleted after processing or within the retention period described in our Privacy Policy.

You acknowledge that:

  • Deletion may not always be instantaneous in every technical system
  • Temporary backups, logs, caches, or security systems may retain limited information for a reasonable period where technically necessary or legally required; and
  • We cannot guarantee recovery of a file after it has been deleted

You are responsible for downloading and maintaining your own copies of important files. For important, confidential, financial, legal, academic, employment, government, or other critical documents, you should maintain an appropriate backup before using the Service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use CurePDF only for lawful and legitimate purposes. You must not use the Service to:

  • Upload, process, transmit, or distribute unlawful content
  • Infringe or facilitate infringement of intellectual-property rights
  • Violate another person's privacy, confidentiality, or other legal rights
  • Commit, facilitate, or promote fraud, identity theft, impersonation, or other unlawful activity
  • Upload or distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious code
  • Attempt unauthorized access to CurePDF systems, servers, databases, accounts, or networks
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without authorization
  • Circumvent security mechanisms, usage restrictions, rate limits, or access controls
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service
  • Intentionally overload our infrastructure
  • Use automated systems in a manner that creates unreasonable load or abuse
  • Scrape or systematically collect CurePDF content or services without permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to obtain source code from the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law
  • Resell, sublicense, lease, or commercially redistribute access to CurePDF without our authorization
  • Use the Service to develop a substantially competing service where prohibited by applicable law or separate agreement; or
  • Encourage, assist, or enable another person to violate these Terms

We may take reasonable technical or legal measures to prevent abuse and protect CurePDF and its users.

8. Fair Use, File Limits, and Rate Limits

CurePDF may impose reasonable limits on:

  • File size
  • Number of files processed
  • Processing frequency
  • Storage
  • API requests
  • Account activity
  • Computational resources
  • Bandwidth; and
  • Other usage

These limits may vary by tool, account type, plan, or technical conditions. We may temporarily restrict or suspend excessive usage that places an unreasonable burden on our systems or negatively affects other users. Where applicable, additional limits will be displayed on the relevant tool, pricing page, API documentation, or account interface.

9. Processed and Converted Files

CurePDF provides automated document-processing tools. Depending on the file and operation, processing may not produce a result that is identical to the original. For example:

  • Formatting may change during conversion
  • Fonts may be substituted
  • Images may change in quality or resolution
  • OCR may contain recognition errors
  • Complex layouts may not be reproduced perfectly
  • Password-protected or corrupted files may not process correctly
  • Some features or file formats may not be fully supported

You are responsible for reviewing the resulting file before relying on it. For legal, financial, governmental, contractual, academic, employment, or other important documents, you should independently verify the output against the original. CurePDF does not guarantee that a processed or converted file will be complete, accurate, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.

10. Intellectual Property

The CurePDF name, trademarks, logos, website, software, interface, design, documentation, original text, graphics, and other materials provided by CurePDF are owned by or licensed to CurePDF and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law, you may not:

  • Copy or reproduce CurePDF's proprietary materials
  • Modify or create derivative works from our proprietary materials
  • Sell or redistribute our proprietary materials
  • Use the CurePDF name or trademarks in a way that suggests unauthorized affiliation or endorsement; or
  • Remove proprietary notices

These rights do not affect your ownership of User Content.

11. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or other feedback about CurePDF, you grant us permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you, provided that such use does not disclose your confidential information or User Content contrary to our Privacy Policy or an applicable agreement.

12. Third-Party Services

CurePDF may use third-party providers for infrastructure, hosting, analytics, security, authentication, payments, email delivery, error monitoring, or other technical functions. Certain features may also contain links to third-party websites or services.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. CurePDF is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control. Where a third party processes information on our behalf, such processing is addressed in our Privacy Policy and applicable agreements.

13. Privacy

Your use of CurePDF is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information and how uploaded files are handled.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict privacy or data-protection rights that cannot legally be waived.

14. Copyright and Other Intellectual-Property Complaints

CurePDF respects intellectual-property rights. If you believe that content processed through the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property rights, you may contact us with sufficient information for us to evaluate the complaint.

Where appropriate and legally required, we may investigate complaints, restrict access, remove content under our control, or take other appropriate action. Copyright complaints may be submitted to support@curepdf.com.

CurePDF is not responsible for User Content uploaded by users merely because the Service technically processes such content.

15. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the Service and information processed through it. However, no internet transmission, computer system, cloud infrastructure, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You acknowledge that you use CurePDF at your own risk and should avoid uploading information unless you are comfortable using an online processing service.

You must not attempt to bypass or disable CurePDF security mechanisms. If you discover a potential security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to support@curepdf.com.

16. Service Availability

CurePDF is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. We aim to provide reliable and useful services, but we do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will always be available
  • The Service will be uninterrupted
  • Processing will always be completed
  • Results will always be accurate
  • A particular tool will remain available
  • The Service will be compatible with every device, browser, file, or format
  • Errors or defects will always be corrected immediately; or
  • The Service will meet every particular purpose or requirement

We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, upgrades, security reasons, infrastructure changes, legal requirements, or other operational reasons.

17. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CurePDF makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service except where a warranty cannot legally be excluded. This includes, where legally permitted, warranties relating to accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, merchantability, and suitability for a particular use.

CurePDF is a document-processing service and does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical, professional, regulatory, or other professional advice. You are responsible for determining whether the Service and its output are appropriate for your particular needs.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CurePDF and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This may include, where legally permitted, loss of profits, business, revenue, opportunity, reputation, or data, business interruption, or costs of obtaining substitute services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded for fraud, willful misconduct, or other matters for which liability must remain with us.

If CurePDF introduces paid services, any applicable limitation on direct damages may be separately specified in the applicable paid-service terms.

19. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CurePDF and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your unlawful use of the Service, your User Content, your infringement of another person's rights, or your violation of applicable law.

This section does not require you to indemnify CurePDF for matters caused by CurePDF's own unlawful conduct where such indemnification would not be permitted by law.

20. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using CurePDF at any time. If you have an account, you may request account deletion through the available account controls or by contacting us.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access where reasonably necessary if you materially violate these Terms; you engage in abusive, fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activity; your use threatens the security or operation of the Service; we are required to do so by law or legal process; or we discontinue the relevant Service.

Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we may provide notice before taking action. Immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect users, systems, legal rights, or comply with legal obligations.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute provisions, and other applicable provisions — will continue after termination.

21. Changes to the Service

We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of CurePDF at any time, including adding or removing tools, changing technical requirements, introducing or modifying usage limits, changing processing or account requirements, introducing paid features, or discontinuing obsolete features.

Where a change materially affects an existing paid service, any rights required by applicable law or the applicable paid-service agreement will apply.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we may provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate, such as through the website or your account.

Your continued use of CurePDF after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires another form of consent. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

23. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, except to the extent that applicable mandatory laws of your country or jurisdiction provide otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive consumers of mandatory rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded under the laws applicable to them.

24. Dispute Resolution

We encourage users to contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve disputes informally. Questions, complaints, or disputes may be submitted to support@curepdf.com.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be subject to the applicable dispute-resolution procedures and courts permitted under the governing law and any mandatory consumer-protection laws applicable to the user. Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from exercising mandatory rights available under applicable law.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

26. No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we waive our right to enforce that provision later.

27. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly applicable to specific CurePDF services, constitute the agreement between you and CurePDF regarding your use of the Service, unless a separate written agreement applies. If additional terms apply to a specific service, those terms will govern that service to the extent of any conflict.

28. Assignment

You may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law. CurePDF may transfer or assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, corporate restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.

29. No Agency or Partnership

Your use of CurePDF does not create an employment relationship, agency relationship, partnership, joint venture, or other legal relationship between you and CurePDF unless separately agreed in writing.

30. Additional Terms for APIs and Developer Services

Where CurePDF provides APIs, developer tools, SDKs, integrations, or other developer services, additional API-specific terms, documentation, usage limits, authentication requirements, and restrictions may apply.

Developers are responsible for protecting their API keys and credentials, keeping credentials confidential, monitoring their API usage, complying with applicable rate limits, preventing unauthorized use of their credentials, and ensuring that applications using CurePDF comply with applicable laws and these Terms.

CurePDF may suspend or revoke API access where reasonably necessary because of abuse, excessive usage, security concerns, violations of these Terms, or operational requirements. Where separate API Terms are published, those terms will govern the applicable API service in the event of a conflict.

31. Paid Services

CurePDF may introduce paid subscriptions, credits, premium features, API plans, or other paid services in the future. Any paid service may be subject to additional terms covering pricing, billing, taxes, automatic renewal, cancellation, refunds, usage limits, credits, and payment processing.

If you purchase a paid service, the applicable purchase terms presented at the time of purchase will apply in addition to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory refund, cancellation, consumer, or other statutory rights applicable to your purchase.

32. Notices and Electronic Communications

By using CurePDF, you agree that we may provide service-related notices electronically, including through the CurePDF website, your account, email, in-product notifications, or other reasonable electronic methods. Electronic communications may include security notices, account notices, service updates, and changes to these Terms.
